HEALTH DEPARTMENT
This department has been looking after the sanitation and public health of the town. It is headed by a Corporation Health officer who is on the deputation from The Health Department of Govt. of Himachal Pradesh.
FUNCTIONS
- Solid waste management in the town.
- To maintain sanitation and hygiene of the town by enforcing the laws.
- Implementation of Food Safety & Standard Act 2006.
- To conduct different pathological tests.
- To test and check the residual chlorine and bacteriological contents of the potable water supplied to the town.
- Registration of death and births.
- Operation and maintenance of the slaughter house.
- Operation and maintenance of biomedical waste treatment plant.
