What's New

According to the national census 2011 about only 70% of the people live in more than 550,000 villages, and the remainder 30% lives in more than 200 towns and cities.  This figure is expected to rise significantly by 2030. With increasing urban pressures the probability of natural & human induced disasters also increased globally. Considering the increasing urban pressures and associated urban risks it is now important to develop urban resilience in Shimla to face the situation in coming years. Hence, it is important to start the preparation from now so that we will have better future.
